My First Meeting With A Literary Agent!

Today I had my first literary agent meeting! For those of you aren’t familiar with the publishing world, a literary agent is someone who sells your book to publishers on your behalf. For any inspiring author it is always thrilling to have someone from the world of publishing interested in your work. It is a privilege to have an agent want to represent you.

I was honored to have my first agent meeting with Bucky Rosenbaum. Bucky is most well-known for being the literary agent for Rick Warren's mega best seller The Purpose Driven Life. Bucky drove up from Orange County to meet with me in Santa Barbara, at the Brown Pelican Resturant.

Bucky was very encouraging and optimistic about the prospect of my book. He feels confident that some of NY’s biggest publishing houses would be interested in purchasing and marketing my book.

It is only prudent to interview several agents before making a decision, so I will be meeting with several other agents before making a final decision on who I will have represent me.

Needless to say, I was thrilled with how the first meeting went. It exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t think more highly of Bucky. I'm grateful for the time he spent with me!

I am having a blast and feeling incredibly blessed!

Rock on with all your biggest dreams!
